Professional Experience
Elizabeth Silverberg is a member of the New York and Alaska State bars. She is also member of the New York State Bar Association’s Trust and Estates Section, the Tompkins County Bar Association and Finger Lakes Women’s Bar Association.
Elizabeth's professional experience includes practicing law at a major Wall Street firm, Cahill Gordon & Reindel, in New York City, and, at law firms focused on estate planning and family law in Ithaca and Alaska. Also, while living in Alaska, she helped Alaskan Native women end violent relationships and led real estate conservation deals. In addition, Elizabeth has interests in mediation, business, and philanthropy.
Community Service
Elizabeth volunteers with her children’s school and sports teams. She also works on community history and preservation projects. To learn more click here.
Education
Elizabeth received her J.D. with honors from Brooklyn Law School where she was a member of the Law Review and Note and Comments Editor. She received her B.A. in History from Swarthmore College.
Elizabeth gained valuable litigation and settlement experience while clerking for a federal district court judge in the Federal District Court of New Jersey.
She is a trained mediator focused on promoting collaborative solutions to entrenched conflict.
